Bloomex is proud to announce that it is
a new partner of MADD Canada for 2019. As part of the partnership
Bloomex will provide a donation at checkout to help raise funds and
donate flowers and gift cards for key events.
MADD Canada’s mission is to stop
impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.
Impairment-related crashes remain Canada’s leading criminal cause
of death with nearly 60% of fatal crashes involving alcohol and/or
drugs. Every day, on average, up to 4
Canadians are killed in alcohol and/or drug-related motor vehicle
crashes on public roads involving at least one “principal highway
vehicle” (i.e. passenger cars, vans, trucks, and motorcycles).
In addition to the $2 donation at check out during November for Project Red Ribbon, which runs each year
throughout the holiday season, Bloomex will donate
flowers and gift cards for key MADD Canada events including the
premiere of the 2019-2020 School Assembly Program, MADD Canada’s
annual run/walk event Strides for Change, and for MADD Canada’s
National Leadership Conferences in September and the Victims’
Weekend in April.
MADD Canada provides
amazing education, support and activism with an aim to stop impaired
driving. Every year, too many innocent lives are lost to or impacted
by violence that is totally preventable. We’re proud to be part of
this campaign to end these deaths and support these victims.
