Bloomex was pleased to extend its duties as Official Florist of Skate Canada, by designing and providing the beautiful podium bouquets for the Autumn Classic International.
This prestigious international level skating competition was held this year from September 28 -- October 1, 2016, at the Sportplexe Pierrefonds in Montreal, Quebec.
Canada was proud to send 18 entries for a total of 23 skaters to the event, including Canadian women's champion Alaine Chartrand (above left) and ice dance champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Moir and Virtue were excited to compete for the first time since winning silver at the Sochi Olympics in 2014.

Canadian pairs Julianne Séguin and Charlie Bilodeau also had a strong performance.
In junior competition, Canadian Edrian Paul Celestino won the gold medal in men’s competition, while Aurora Cotop won gold for the women's event.
Our Bloomex Montreal team was tasked with the very fun and creative request to design the bouquet that would be given to all medal winners at the podium. The request was for something in a vivid mix of rich autumn colours that would be appropriate to the theme and the season in Canada.
The team did a wonderful job! The bouquets were a gorgeous mix of blooms and seasonal greenery including coral roses, orange gerbera daisies, yellow cushion mums, red carnations, faux autumn leaves, fern, rusus and salal,
The stems were wrapped with green and orange ribbon to complement the colours of the bouquet. Click to see the Bloomex bouquets from ACI 2015.
We are told that the medallists really enjoyed their Bloomex bouquets and it was a pleasure to send them. We look forward to the next exciting Skate Canada event: Bloomex is doing all the florals, including the medallist bouquets, for the Skate Canada International in Mississauga at the end of October. Stay tuned!
