Give with Heart With Bloomex this Month

When you hear February is Heart Month your mind might turn to thoughts of love: after all,   the most romantic day of the year is in February! Our friends at Heart & Stroke celebrate Heart Month a little differently!
February is a whole month dedicated to promoting the awareness of heart disease. What is Heart Disease? Heart disease is a general term that means a heart is not working properly. There are forms of heart disease that are present at birth (congenital heart disease), and others which develop as we age. Many forms of heart disease can be prevented by living an active, healthy lifestyle.
Heart and Stroke is promoting women's heart disease during the month of February. Women are under-researched, under-diagnosed and over-dying. It's time to close the research gap and stop women dying unnecessarily. It's #TimeToSeeRed

8/10 cases of premature heart disease are preventable through healthy lifestyle behaviours. Which means 2/10 cases were not preventable, so know the signs. Some signs can show as: Chest Pain, Sweating, Upper Body Pain, Nausea, Shortness of Breath, or Light-headedness.

Bloomex is a proud national partner of Heart and Stroke as part of the commitment to save lives, boost research, and improve heart and brain health of all Canadians. Thousands of lives have been saved and millions of lives have been improved thanks to support of donors like you, so here's how you can help!
