The blooms come in a large variety of colours, from red, pink and yellow to blood orange or pastel blues including many different bi-colour stems as well.
The Gladiolus symbolizes remembrance and honour, which is why it is widely known as a funeral flower. This breathtaking bloom can also represent strength of character, faithfulness, sincerity or integrity, infatuation and never giving up.
Gladioli are considered an "old-fashioned flower". Women often used plant these flowers at the backs of their gardens to give their flowerbeds a colourful backdrop.
They were also commonly planted along the foundation of homes or along fence lines, as some of the taller spirals need support to stand tall.
Do you want to celebrate the end of summer with your own arrangements that contain gladiolus? Check out the beautiful pieces we have available here!
